ABOUT
ME
I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy along with The British Psychological Society.
I initially trained as an Integrative counsellor. I have also taken further diplomas with Surrey NHS in Family and Systemic Therapy, and in the Foundations of Analytical Psychology with the SAP in London. I have had a long academic journey in Psychology and Mental Health, from my MSc in Clinical Psychology to research in Cognitive Neuroscience at Exeter university.
I have a long career in learning across all settings. I have taught all ages, from primary-school-age children through to lecturing university students. I have a particular interest in how children’s experiences in school and their academic world can impact their mental health. Additionally, how these negative experiences can carry through into adulthood and without support can become life-limiting. I am the founder and director of Westcountry SEN.

I have spent over 20 years working with children, young people and their families, seeking to support children and their families to have happier lives. Whether you are looking for support for your own child, a looked after child or a child in a school setting, do get in touch and find out how I can help.
